Metal Earth Models 1981 model DeLorean with a grey interior,
fuel-flapless grooved hood, and without the wide black accent stripe in
the side. No, I didn't know any of these myself, I just compared the
model to the wikipedia article 😅
It was the first MEM set I have tinkered with that was prepainted. As evident, my model was not a complete success as a number of flimsy pieces broke off and I couldn't fit the body onto the base, making especially the front wheels look like the car was in an accident.
Yeah,
this project didn't end up looking perfect - or even really salvageable
but that was just life. I still thoroughly enjoyed the model itself.
The result obviously saddened me a bit.
